On 7 October the District will release the new website. The transition to the new site will be seemless as it will use the same internet address. An informational video will be sent to all club committees for distribution to the membership. We encourage everyone to take some time to review the video and explore the site when it goes "hot" on the 15th.
On Monday at Hawks Nest, 70 District golfers in two divisions contested the District Women's Foursomes Championship. Dom Kelly and Louise Vincer from Merewether took on a strong field to win the tournament by 6 shots. Hawks Nest presented a beautiful course and despite the forecast, the weather was perfect. Thanks to all participants and congratulations Dom and Louise.
Congratulations to Horizon's golf club for winning the HNDLGA Division 2 Pennant. This is the second consecutive year Horizons have won a division pennant(s)...Division 3 and 4 in 2021 and Division 2 in 2022. Congratulation to all!
Congratulations to Maitland on winning their 1st EVER Division 1 NHDLGA Women's Pennant! The team dominated the division throughout the season and continued their form in the inaugural Pennant Finals. Congratulations to all!
Congratulations Robyn Watt for her recent win in the Over 80's Australian Women's Golf Champtionship held at Harrington Waters Gold Club. And what a win it was! Robyn won the Women's event by 17 shots and came 3rd in the men's division!
In addition to playing our beloved game, Robyn is a dedicated organizer and sponsor of the Annual Teapot Challenge and continues to support the expansion of women's golf throughout the District.

In dramatic fashion, the NHDLGA team of Jennie Bellamy, Jill Blenkey, Patsy Fielding, Jenny Frost, Tania Hutchins, Lyn Horswood, Holly Ibbotson, Dom Kelly, Carol Knox , Stacie McDonald, Katrina Skinner-Oyston, Jenny Thompson brought home the NewCoast Cup for the second consecutive year. The match came down to the last pair on the last hole of the last day. At the end of regulation on day two the matches were square and pushed the teams into sudden death playoff. Stacie McDonald (NHDLGA) birdied the par 5, 1st to win the hole and the contest for NHDLGA. For more details and results of the two day event, see the NewCoast Cup page under the events menu.
